Growing up as the youngest of 4 girls, I had the opportunity to live in many countries due to my father’s work with the military. Settling in Hendersonville, North Carolina as a young teenager I was more interested in the nature around me than anything else. As I worked my way through the construction industry as a welder in a heavy equipment plant to high rise construction to welding supply sales, my creative side was yearning to come out.

Through the encouragement of those around me, I was able to create Haw Creek Forge in 1992. As the business has grown, I, too, have grown in my creativity. I have learned the techniques of fold forming copper that is the basis for most of my current work. I find the creation of my new work fulfilling and joyful.
