"Zephyr" and "Tactile Adventure 8427" have been created as a collaboration between Catherine Murphy and Dana Gingras. Copper and steel have been combined creating works with a variety of textures and colors, at the same time blending in a unique way to complement the beauty of both metals and the artistry of the colleagues.
Zephyr is constructed with a steel frame and 15 copper tiles hung on rods to move with the wind. Each tile is created with the fold forming technique to create a fabulous texture and the color of the copper is enhanced with heat and chemical finishes.
Tactile Adventure 8427 is created with the fold forming technique surrounding a hand blown glass ball and framed by steel.
